We are currently carrying out a Pre-Application Community Consultation in respect of Phase 1 of the mixed-use development proposals, on lands accessed from Skeoge Roundabout, to the west of Buncrana Road, north of River Glen and south west of No’s 30, 32 and 34 Coshquin Road, Derry, now known as ‘The Cashel’.

By way of a brief background, the subject site comprises lands within the Residential Zoning ‘H2-Buncrana Road West’ identified within the Derry Area Plan (2011). Following the grant of Outline Planning Permission on these lands in November 2018 (Ref: A/2006/0441/O), this initial Reserved Matters submission involves the development of circa 800 dwellings (mix of social, affordable and private homes) with associated infrastructure improvements, commercial development and open space provision.

Pre Application Community Consultation

The purpose of this webpage is to share our indicative proposals with the community and other interested parties, prior to the Reserved Matters submission to Derry City and Strabane District Council.

We are committed to engaging with members of the wider community and are now undertaking a period of pre-application community consultation (PACC) on our proposals.

The feedback received will be shared with the design team and will help to shape our proposals prior to the submission of a planning application. We will prepare a Pre-Application Community Consultation Report which will provide a summary of all feedback, our response and how we have incorporated any appropriate feedback into the final proposals for the scheme. This report will be submitted as part of the Reserved Matters submission to Derry City and Strabane District Council.
